In the world of mass-producing greenhouses and agricultural buildings we’ve been quietly raising the green efficiency bar, and re-set it very high.
There has always been two big issues and we’ve dealt with both, solar radiation and temperature control.
The first, solar radiation, was easy and we can fit our hybrid electrochromic vacuum units which block solar radiation at the touch of a button, or we can set them to be remote controlled through sunlight.
With the second issue, temperature control, we use our vacuum glass which has the lowest U value of any insulated glass unit in the world.
This controls the thermal efficiency of the building, but we wanted to give our customers a free power supply to operate lights or the electrochromic vacuum units, and provide them with another income source.
To achieve this goal we can fit our hybrid PV Solar vacuum glass which turns any glass building into a giant vertical solar farm. This gives us a glass building with the best possible U values and a solar radiation controlled roof but what about the cold nights?
